These honey buffalo wings are the perfect combination of sweet and spicy. Crispy, juicy, and coated in a delicious honey buffalo sauce, they’re ideal for parties, game day, or a quick weeknight meal.

- 2 lbs chicken wings, separated into drumettes and wingettes
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
- 1/4 cup honey 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Optional: Blue cheese or ranch dressing for dipping
Instructions
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper.
- Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss to coat evenly with the flour mixture.
- Baking: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 30-40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy. Frying: Heat oil in a deep fryer to 350°F (175°C). Fry the wings in batches for 6-8 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the buffalo sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir to combine.
- Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
- In a large bowl, add the cooked wings and pour the honey buffalo sauce over them. Toss to coat evenly.
- Serve immediately with blue cheese or ranch dressing for dipping, if desired.
